Tested parameters

Total cholesterol: a measure of overall cholesterol levels in the blood. Maintaining adequate total cholesterol levels is crucial for cardiovascular health.

LDL (Low Density Cholesterol): Known as "bad cholesterol," LDL is a form of cholesterol that can build up in artery walls, increasing the risk of heart disease. High LDL levels are an important indicator of cardiovascular risk.

HDL (High Density Cholesterol): often referred to as "good cholesterol" because it helps remove excess cholesterol from the arteries and transport it back to the liver. Adequate levels of HDL are beneficial for heart health.

Triglycerides: a type of fat in the blood that can contribute to the risk of heart disease when present in high levels. They are formed from excess calories consumed and stored as fat.

AST (Aspartate Aminotransferase): is an enzyme found in the liver and other tissues. High AST levels may indicate liver problems, such as hepatitis or liver damage.

ALT (Alanine Aminotransferase): is an enzyme primarily found in the liver and is important for protein metabolism. Elevated ALT levels may signal liver inflammation or damage.

GGT (Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase): is an enzyme in the blood that helps the liver metabolize drugs and toxins. A GGT test helps check for liver disease, bile duct damage, and is also used to diagnose excessive alcohol use, as this enzyme tends to be higher in people who drink alcohol for long periods of time.

Creatinine: is a waste product produced by muscle breakdown and excreted by the kidneys. Elevated levels may indicate problems with kidney function, making this parameter essential for assessing kidney health.

Urea: is a byproduct of protein metabolism and is excreted in the urine. High levels may indicate kidney function problems or dehydration.
